Center of Excellence Summer Training Schools

2009 Information Announced

The Center of Excellence Summer Training School is Jersey United’s elite level training program that allows players to continue with high-level training during the summer months in a once daily, week long camp. The summer program is a unique opportunity to experience the curriculum and coaches of the Center of Excellence without having to tryout for the program. To take advantage of this program you must be a competitive travel or club level player.

The highlights of this unique program are:

1:12 Coaching Ratio (Per age curriculum)
Advanced 5 day Structured & Progressive Attacking Curriculum
Individualized Technical Training
Instructed by Jersey United’s Nationally & Internationally qualified staff
Comprehensive Player Evaluation and Performance Feedback
15 hours of intense training (3 hours per day)
Under Armour Center of Excellence training T-shirt

The program information is as follows:

Monroe

Where: Thompson Park, Monroe, NJ

When: Monday July 13^th – Friday July 17^th 2009

Time: 9am – 12pm (Early drop off – 8.30am. Late pick up 12.30pm)

Hillsborough / Bridgewater

Where: Falcon Field, Hillsborough, NJ

When: Monday July 20^th – Friday July 24^th 2009

Summer Training Schools

Jersey United Summer Training Schools are designed to give the committed soccer player the oppurtunity to train in highly a competitive environment during the summer months. Players train for 2 hours per day, Monday to Friday and the schools fall in line with the overall philosophy of the Center of Excellence program.

Jersey United will be offering one Summer Training School in 2008 at our indoor facility in Flemington, NJ. The Edge Sports center is ideal for this type of summer program as players will be able to work hard for the full program without being fatiqued by the summer sun and we can also quarantee the course will be completed in full even if the weather is inclement.

Players attending these schools will receive an UNDER ARMOUR training T-shirt and upon completion of the program will receive a comprehensive evaluation from their coach.

The advanced daily curriculum is specifically designed to flow from one day to the next through a combination of 1v1, 2v2 and small sided games:

Monday Moves to beat a player

Tuesday Turns to create space

Wednesday Passing and combination play

Thursday Defending to win

Friday Full picture and recap

To maintain the high level of competition and elite training environment set by the Spring/fall Center of Exceelence players wishing to attend the school need to download and complete a mini soccer resume of achievments in the game so far. All applications will be screened by the program manager and successful applicants will be notified of their approval and acceptance into the school.
