Jersey United’s tryouts take place in April, May & June of each year and involve two team tryout dates and up to an unlimited number of coaches’ tryout dates, which are optional for the coach. At Jersey United we feel it is important to have the Head Coach pick their own team, however we also feel that it is necessary for teams to be looked at by fresh eyes, that is why during the tryout process other club coaches evaluate and rank players as well as the process being overseen by our Director of Coaching. Ultimately the Head Coach has the final say but he gets a lot of ideas, evaluations from other coaches as well as our DOC. We feel this process not only allows for the Head Coaches to pick their own team, it also allows them to be objective while maintaining their own ideas about players.
