Jersey Shore Champions Cup

3 to 2 Win
Jersey United Dragons 3 V Howell United Vipers 2 A difficult game made even more difficult as we went 1 - 0 down. After an indifferent 10 minutes we got a grip on the game and were able to play with a bit more command take took us into a 2 - 1 lead. We were defending well in the second half as the opposition pushed forward in search of an equalizer. A wicked deflection allowed the opposition back into the game for a short period until we were able to get a third goal and kill the game off.

2 - 2 Tie
Jersey united Dragons 2 V 2 Jackson Soccer Club We played well in patches and were 0 - 0 at the break. Both teams looked to be comfortable in possession with neither team breaking down the other. Two very quick second half goals took our opposition into a 2 - 0 lead. At this point it would not be unheard off for a team to give up. However these boys do not know when they are beaten right now and got back into the game with two goals to tie the match. I was very happy with our fighting sprite and never say die attitude. With qualities like this these boys can go far in this game.

2 -1 Win
Jersey United 2 V 1 Brick Soccer Club
A very physical side to play against that were able to cause us some problems with their size. We moved the ball around them very well and were very dangerous on the break. We created the better of the chances and maybe could have won the game by a few more gaols in the end. A 2 - 1 win will was enough to take us into the final so we have to be happy with that.

5 - 1 Loss
Jersey United 1 V 5 Freehold Allentown Strikers With only ten minutes left to play this game was ties at 1 - 1 we were dealing with their play very well and causing them problems on the break. I honestly though we were going to get the second goal and take the championship. We lost 2 very quick goals a minute apart that killed the game. I was hoping we not not lose anymore. However with 12 games in just two weeks the boys simply ran out of gas. Overall I am happy with our forth final appearance of the season. The team is competing very well right now and I am happy with the direction of the team.
